Oliver - Branch 97

Welcome to Oliver Branch 97.  The 2010 Executive is:

Secretary        -Sharon Dagenais
Treasurer        -Barry Lundin

Executive Committee : Tom Irvine, Chris Yerburgh, Peter Mitchell, Bertha Williams, Ray Turner.  Service Officer is Bob Brandt and the Chaplain is Ray Turner. Sgt at Arms is Norm Williams, and the Past President is Edith Lundin.

The Branch hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 12 noon until 7pm (or later). General Meetings are 2nd Monday in each month at 7pm, except for July, Aug and Dec. Notice: Cribbage, darts, and pool, have been cancelled until the fall.

On-going Branch Events:

Tuesday @ 7pm  - Darts & Pool
Cribbage has been cancelled until fall of 2010 due to lack of participation.
Friday (from 5pm to 6pm)  - Suppers (varied menu) with 50/50
Saturday (from 3pm to 4:30pm) Meat Draw with 50/50

Special upcoming Events:

May 16th 2010, Annual Candlelight Tribute to be held at 4pm, at the veterans section of the Oliver Cemetary. All are welcome to participate and all Branch colours are also welcomed.

Military Service Recognition Book:

Any former member of the Canadian Military who has not submitted a military story (250 words or less and with a photo) please do so and contact Com Chris Yerburgh at 250-498-3873 for assistance.
